Whats the software for IR REMOTE? |

Hi guys,
recently just purchased my W550i, Its a stark notch higher than any nokia phones and i think im going to be loving it. The InfraRed is cool and i remember seeing my friends turn off and on a tv with his P900i IR Remote software
Question : WHere can i download / install this IR remote software on my phone? It makes use of Infra-red to turn on and off television.

You can't since there is no access to IR (through APIs) as with smartphones...  , so no software exists cause the IR can't be controlled "programatically"

but ive seen my friends on the P900i as well as the Nokia 6600 control the tv. And according , the N6600 is not a smart phone |

the range of the ir in candybars phones is only about 2 inches, so pretty useless as a remote anyway.
Be handy if you have a phone with good ir range and smartphone os. |
