Hi, I know there are lots of Ericsson experts here, and i need an answer to my question. I have a T68 phone upgraded to T68i software and here is my question, is there any other way I could disconnect my phone from a WAP connection (through GPRS or Dial-Up) other than doing this two options?

*I press the NO button for a long time and when asked if i want to stay connected I press NO
*Another is, I use the EXIT WAP option and if asked if i want to stay connected I press NO.

is there any key combination or procedure that would disconnect my connection while my browser is still on (just like in nokia 6510, by just pressing the red phone will end the connection while the browser is still on)?

I'm asking this because I want to minimize my expense (dial-up wap access is so expensive here), disconnecting my phone while i'm still reading the article on the phone will surely help me a lot reduce my online time.

Please, please, please help me!

if you use either of those 2 and them 'resume' the wap session you should get the cached page back without dialling up. 'resume' is in the wap menu once wor disconnected.

Hi he you are using GPRS you dont have to worry about time that you read the articals, you only pay for the number of data that is transferred. And if you dont download a new page you can stare at your mail or article forever and dont pay more then for the bits that you already have downloaded. Do you follow? The cost for a bit is minimal. So you dont have to disconnct to rate money, long live GPRS

my bad, sorry for sending you a wrong information that caused wrong interpretation.. what I mean is, i want to know how to disconnect without losing the data on my screen in the dial-up not in GPRS. My provider is having problems with the GPRS (they sent us notice about this) so its not able to give me the service for 2 weeks now (but they promise to be back by next month but i cant wait), they said they have a problem so my only choice is through the dial-up way which is being charged by the minute and its expensive, any tips on how i could disconnect without getting rid of the the article? I dont want to pay useless minutes just because i'm reading and paying without even receiving any data (while reading ofcourse).

i've tried using the menu 'RESUME' where you suppose to be returning to the last page where you left but unfortunately, if you try connecting to sites like Yahoo! (where i read my mails), it will once again connect and the charging goes on! and when i'm reading my mail (ofcourse i want to disconnect coz i'm just reading) It suppose to be in the cache but sad to say it wont use it in sites like Yahoo! they download the page all over again.

I hope i was able to explain it ... pretty hard to explain though.. i just wanna ask if there's another way other than those 2 ways to disconnect i said on my first post. thanks all, i hope you'll help me.

i think if the content is small enough, the Resume function will, simply display the last information you have on your browser until you Refresh it. (unless the wap is secured in any way)

how about reading the information from a PDA or PC instead of from the phone?
