The computer can find the phone but when I enter password the computer says "phone hasn't replied" or something like that. Not sure what it is called in english, running norwegian xp sp2.

You have to input the code for the pc and your phone to pair them.

Yeah, and both should be the same! Use '0000', since it's quite the standard...

Have you made sure that in your bluetooth settings on the phone that you've turned off Hide Phone and click Show Phone?

Are you using the drivers that came with your bluetooth dongle or the native XP SP2 drivers? SP2 drivers are notorious for not working properly.

Tried both xp driver and the one that came with the dongle. With the one that came with the dongle the computer doesn't even see the phone

Does the BT connection show up in 'My Network Places - View All Network Connections'? If so, right click on it, select 'properties', then 'Advanced' and make sure Windows Firewall is turned off.

Some dongles appear as a network device, others don't.

Hmmmm..... I'm beginning to wonder if we're looking at a faulty dongle here?

Any chance you could try somebody else's BT enabled phone with your dongle?

Tried my mother's k700i and it didn't work with that either. But I manage to send files though
