Hi,

When I recieve java games via bluetooth it tells me my memory is full. I know this is not true as I only got the phone on friday and I know I have 33 megabytes phone memory free and nearly the whole memory card. I have however noticed when recieving the .jar files it always tries to save to the phone memory and doesnt ask me where to save it.

I have also tried putting a .jar file on the memory card in the 'other' folder via USB however when I try and run it on the phone I am given the message 'Operation Failed'

please someone help me!

Which version of firmware are you on?

If you are on R1N035 (or higher), maybe when you copy it to the 'Other' folder, the files gets corrupted, though not being able to be installed.

Do you have a memory card reader / BT dongle? If you do (or maybe a friend), try copying it to the Other folder using one of those.

As for the first (well, it's the same) problem... I don't know why, it should let you install it directly... maybe it's related to a firmware issue too.

Let us know; good luck

@ Matt: what phone do you have?

My s700 also has a certain space alocated for java files. Also, you will need to push the object to your phone instead of transfering them directly to a folder. This will allow the phone to detect and install them to the games folder.

I think my k750i also has this limitation.
I had 29MB free on the phone when I got this msg first time, installing games. Then I sent some to ext storage and was able again to do some more installing, till it fed up again.

Can this be an operator limitation?
Which software can unlock this?

it's not a software limitation, it surfaces after modding with FAR.
I have been facing this problem since i began playing with FAR. When I flashed it to a stock W800, it became okay, but again, after modding the menu, it got screwed up.

So it's got something to do with mod-jobs rahter than firmware.
