Hi.
Is your camera lens perfect? I mean... without fingerprints, moist, anything?
Even mine, w800 (covered) got some fingerprints... I thinks it's quite impossible to keep it "virgin", but also I don't think it's a problem...
What do you say?

There's a bit of dust between the protective glass/plastic cover and the camera lens on my S700i, but it doesn't affect picture quality in any way, it's just a bit annoying!

I thought mine was fine... cleaned it with a brush blower for camera lens (it's very soft), and now it's like if I had passed my finger over it... how to say it...? like, the LCD display, fingerprints...
Should I care? The quality is EXACTLY the same...
And I think that in every camera this is pretty normal since, sooner or later, you will touch the protective cover!

Mine is fine, i never touch my camera lenses with my skin.
If any dust gets on them, i clean it off using a soft brush, usually the one that came with my electric shaver - it works perfect.
A good full body neoprene case repels dust too.

Clean it with a special lens tissue and a q-tip. Only if necessary use special lens cleaning fluid (dip a bit with a q-tip on the lens) and clean and dry it with the lens tissue (over a q-tip).
Good luck amigo

I use a 100% cotton hanky to clean it. or i put the hanky on it and use the stylus or a cotton swap to rub it around.

Well, as Bezzz suggested, I cleaned it with a Q-Tip and a glasses cleaning tissue. It got quite perfect; maybe better than original!
Thanks for the tip boys! Now changing the subject of the thread to help other souls...

Btw, I believe a Q-tip is American for a cotton bud, just to confirm?
Someone please correct me if otherwise!

yep, a q-tip is the equivalent of cotton bud it's remarkable how many functions they have!

Whenever my camera lens looks dirty, I exhale heavily (thru the mouth) over it, thus causing a bit of condensation on it, and immediately clean softly with a cotton bud.
