sorry if I've missed the answer (which I must have) but did do a little look with no joy

honest

anyway ~ can we put service provider information that's needed for us to connect, into an *.inf file that we can install these settings from and store this file, in the memory card.

Basicly like putting games in the OTHER folder (I have the K750i) and installing from there only with Data comms. and Internet profiles...

Really sorry if I've missed this -

TTFN

[EDIT] just corecting spelling mistake...

apparently I'm after OTA (over the air) xml settings files. they look a little complex and need 'serving' so I'll quick(stick - bloody T9 ) to thumb typing

Well ok...

...I didn't quit there...

...just looked too fussy, but seems not that hard after all (ignorance is bliss!).

I downloaded a free 60 day trial of NowSMS

...you guys were talking about this long ago...

This program works as a service on your XP machine and you can access this service using localhost...

...anyway, it's web interface allows the input of WAP setting and sending to your phone using OTA.

To get started, once the program is installed and running click the SMSC tab and add your mobiles modem.

(mine was connected to the PC via the supplied cable Add >> GSM Phone or Modem)

Move to the Web tab and note Port number for web interface: or put your own value...

Now tab to Service and tick the box marked SMS Gateway Service...

...wait abit and type in your browser http://localhost:port number

anybodys input on this...
