Guys, i've heard a rumour about a new phone company, based in Holland, are about to launch. Going by the name of Bogies, they will, according to my sources, mainly be producing low-end phones, targeting younger phone users with bright colours, ease of use, and colourful, simple games. Also, they have managed to reduce the battery to super-slim proportions, and are using the space saved as a small stoarge space. Here is a sneak preview of their first phone, codenamed "Dick" - rumour has it they also have another handset being tested, codenamed "Dom":

are they 'flying saucer' sweets inside, I'll certainly be buying one of these (not for me of course! but for my, err.. my cousin  )

Yeah, i remeber reading about Bogies on ZDNet but the details were very sketchy. One question I'd like to ask, the family of phones currently in development don't appear to be wap enabled so how the hell are you supposed to install new games on them? ZDNet reckonned that you can, but I can't imagine these phones having cable or BT capabilities

@Cyco: According to my source, they will be running on a sort of intranet system, only accessible from Bogies handsets, for downloading new games, ringtones, etc. It is codenamed "Project Hankie" from what i can gather. I have no more detailed info on this side of Bogies.
Has anyone actually held a Bogies in their hand? I would love to, but i cant quite get hold of one.

these bogies you speak of....do they come with several coloured screens....and slightly green-bluetoothed (lesser range and teeth)

I heard about the afore mentioned bogies a few months back but simply threw it off as rumours on nothing else but it appears the bogies are indeed real.
Im currently trying to get my hands on the bogies White Paper for more tech specs as soon as i have info ill post. An ingenious idear and a great way off attracting young people to mobile phones bogies are truly a great invention

- severalled colour screen
- certain models come with button
- green-bluetooth (perhaps range)
- inbuilt camera (only duct tape)
- speakered power (severalled watts)
- flip (360 shove it) or candybar (fun size multi pack) design
thats all ive heard so far from a quick google
