i wanna buy a mobile |

hi guys,
i am in india . i want to use a GPRS mobile phone for browsing net in my PC.
whats the phone i should buy ?
though personally i have nokia 6020 phone , but its creating trouble very often.
so, i have decided to buy a new CHEAP mobile phone which is dedicated for GPRS.
i think , people here use mobile phone to browse net in PC.
please tell me your model no and also tell whether you are happy with the model or not .
i use Airtel's mobile office.
so, can you suggest a CHEAP mobile phone having GPRS ?
unless you dont use or have seen others to use successfully then only please recommend the model.
i know there are lots of model which has GPRS . but which one is good ? and also cheap ?

The ngage is a good cheap option for gprs surfing on pc... Whats your budget?

Pls don't repeat your posts.... The C100 is too low end imho.. You should opt for a bluetooth enabled phone...

primary budget Rs 5000. i could increase budget if there exists a really good dedicated GPRS set. thats not a problem.
plz suggest the good GPRS model and its approximate price.
i am repenting for buying the nokia 6020 set...nobody sgould buy this model....i paid 9200 Rs for this model...but its worthless...
anyway...suggestion ?

C100 is trash except for the vibrant screen.

If you can increase your budget to 7k- you can buy he Ngage qd which acts as a pretty good gprs modem.. I'm using one right now. You'd also have to buy a bluetooth dongle worth rs 800...

Samsung C100 is gprs class 8. what class is the ngage?

hi whizz plz tell...are you satisfied with the model ?
one of my friend told samsung C100 is a good gprs modem....he has been using this for a long time ....and never found any trouble.
However, what are the mobile phone you have handled already ? |

1. infrared connectivity
2. data cable connectivity
3. bluetooth connectivity
4. EDGE suuport
5. How is the browsing experience ? can you write e-mails from this phone ? can i browse any site in this phone ?

get a SE T630, it has got BT, IRDA, Class 8 GPRS, 65k TFT screen and it is under 6k

The ngage does not have infrared or cable support.. The only way you can connect it to pc is using bluetooth... Also, the the ngage is a smartphone with full email and internet access on the phone itself...

you mean i would get full internet experience as i find in a desktop Internet explorer !!!.....thats really great....fantastic.

this is a big problem....i am afraid, if my motherboad of my desktop PC does not support bluetooth then i'll in trouble. so, i asked if there exists other connectivity like data cable and infrared. because then i dont have depend upon only bluetooth....just smart escape root.
its a big drawback. |
