try checking the port that you want to connect to. double click the phone connection manager in the system tray (next to the clock) check all the available ports and see if that does the trick. it's a small line that resembles this figure <-//->

Yup. That seems to be the most likely solution. In the connection properties, just check the box next to the port used by the sync station.

do you have dap (download accelerator plus) installed on your pc? if yes, i was in a forum a few days ago and i read a post about a connection problem with a dss-20 and after the person uninstalled dap the connection was reestablished with the phone.

i had it year ago, but SpyBot Search&Destroy tells that i hae some shit in system that comes from that programme Did you know how to run bluetooth under WindowsXP no updates (no SP, no SP2) and under Linux fedora Core4? |

Well, Windows XP without SP2 is actually better for Bluetooth in a way because it forces you to use the BT devices' manufacturers driver rather than the (awful!) one that is built into SP2.
Which kind of answers the question, you usually just install the software that was provided with your BT device, or download it from the manufacturer's website.
As for linux, same story really. In the event that the manufacturer doesn't provide a linux driver, you do what every other Linux jockey on the planet does: Get on the millions of linux forums out there and request a driver for your BT device! Some Linux guru will eventually write one
I got a Linux driver for a BT Voyager ADSL Modem that way

try this little program. mrouter v3 and you will see a great improvment in connectivity with your phone. http://www.developer.intuwave.com/Reference/m-Router READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST BEFORE INSTALLING
