Be clear, concise, and honest with your description, describing any faults or damage in minute detail.

Keep postage down. Nothing puts me off more than overpriced postage
I tend to have my auctions end around 8-9pm sunday as no-one does anything of a sunday night but stay in.
Descriptions should'nt be to long (or to short) but try describe everything needed.
Try to allow most types of payment (althogh many trips to the bank to cash cheques is a right pain).

I always end my items after 17:30, because I'm lazy, and then i can post them the next day!!
I find that 5 day or 7 day listings are the best, you tend to get all the offers you will do with a 10 day listing, without having to wait the extra 5 / 3 days.
DO NOT USE:
i) A reserve price.
ii) A high starting bid (I always use £0.99, as if something is worth £200, it WILL go for around that price.)
iii) Pictures from other auctions or websites, it's not very reassuring!
iv) Personal cheque as the only payment (if you can help it), I offer as many methods as possible to encourage the most bidders.
Hope this helps!!

I have learned that when selling phones I now only look at recent completed items for the same description of item that I have, I set my price based on an average and then only list with buy it now and pay immediately.
I have only ever done this with phones and I never get any problems and often the phones sell in a day or two only
other items I list normally and without a reserve. often I set the initial price to be the minimum price I would accept so the first bid guarantees the sale and anything more is a bonus.
I like ebay to be nice and easy and these are what work for me as a seller, and I have around 650 feedback all 100%
