I have talked to the software guy in SE Customer Service and asked that particular question, and he said that since it uses the same or similar basis with the T300 it is possible, but T68i was thought of as a MMS phone in first place so a new software with JAVA support is not considered at the moment. But you never know!?!?!?!

The t300 is basically like our t68 but more inferior. Though we cant expect hardware 2 be upgraded, like poly rings, is it wrong 2 assume that the software aspect 2 be able 2? If the software of t300 allows it 2 be able 2 download games, why cant our t68, considering they are so much the same?

I don't think so that the T68 can be upgraded with java.
Siemens SL45 has no java but you can upgrade yourself if you have a cable and software with 9MB flash pack. Remeber that SL45 has a lot of room and it uses MMC. With regards to T68 it it has 1MB memory and no MMC. So where do you think they will put the software upgrade for the T68. Nothing is imposible, maybe is working for the upgrade of T68 java so that T68 users will be happy.

why put added functionality in an old handset when you can make a new version and sell it.

if they did that they'd deserve to fail.

Nokiakilla... the 1MB on the T68i is user memory... I don't think that that 1MB is where the OS and apps are stored. I think the T68i has a lot more memory for the OS and apps/T9, etc.
