Themes get corrupted and other problems (w800) |

Hello boys and girls, nice place you've got there . Unfortunately my first post wont be a happy one ...
When i first got my w800 it used to sometimes crash when i was making a call (there was no dial tone so i suppose it wasn't dialing). When that happened, i could only make a call again after i had restarted the phone . That lead me to update it with a newer firmware.
Now besides the dialing bug, my themes get corrupted (icons are disappearing) and the phone sometimes restarts when i turn the camera on. All these things started happening gradually, so i am not certain if the problem lies in the firmware or the hardware itself. Has any of you encountered the above problems with the latest firmware ? Before you ask, i have removed all seus files from my computer, performed a master reset and reflashed the phone two more times to no avail. |

Well, for the latter part it's about firmware since it corrupts everything that is transfered from USB cable, also you may encounter problems with the camera.
About the dialing... what do you mean? That the phone 'actually' crashes, and then restarted, and then you could make another call? if that's so, then you are better taking it to SE under warranty; you'll shoot two birds with one bullet: fix the latest firmware issue (luckily, if they downgrade it to R1L002) and the issue about the calling. Maybe you 'll even get a new phone.
Good luck!

I don't seem to have the usb problem as the themes work fine for a time and then get corrupted. If then i change the theme to another one (the new one has missing icons too), restart the phone and change back to it again it finaly works properly. It almost seems like a faulty memory to me.
As for the dialing problems , when i dial a number i just dont hear a dialing tone (and the person i am dialing to doesn't receive a call). If i don't restart the phone the same thing happens with every call i try to make thereafter. This doesn't happen very often, so it's hard to demonstrate it to the se service center.
By the way, thanks for the fast reply.
