The big metal keys on my W800i have gaps that can collect dust or even worser moist very easy.
Illustrated by picture:

When I look at my phone when its dark, I see white light coming through the "rounded" edges under the display. Small, but visible.
I'm afraid I'll get problems when it's moist. Illustrated by picture:

Do other W800's have this also, or should I be worried and use the warranty?

I think it's ok; you shouldnt worry about it since no product is terminated PERFECTLY like if it was handcrafted, so it's ok.

If you put it flat on a table or your hand, and look at the LCD (from an angle of 180º aprox), you'll see that at the edge there is a white light too, like it the black piece of plastic (or whatever it is) covering the display under the case doesn't cover it perfectly (thou letting the light out)

Thanks for your reaction, I've seen what you meant about the display etc., but at least it's covered by the display's plastic there, so no moist etc. comes in easy. At the key however, there's really a small hole, so you look directly into the phone itself, or you can stick "something" (f.e. a needle) in. That is what worries me, the fact that it's totaly opened there. Does your phone has the same? The left key is the worst at my phone.
Is there anybody that has the same? (only visible in the dark, with the keys light on, see my pics.)

How is it for the other W800 owners.
Please leave a reaction if your phone has it, or doesn't.

Check in darkness!

Everyone W800 has these gaps, there need to be a small gap between the keyhole and the keys or they wouldent be able to move up and down.

But its not a gap that goes all the way into the phone, the keys are a part a rubber keypad that lies under the cover and "seals" the innerpart of the phone. Moist and dust will not enter through these gaps to the innerpart of the phone easily.

It doesnt mean that the phone is waterproof, and can be used when diving if you get my drift. But it does protect from normal moist.

Thanks a lot, for your explanation!
Still I have one question left.
Is it so, that all the w800's have the little opening, where white light is leeking out from the big "silver" keys edges where they are "rounded"?
(only visible in darkness with the keys light on, see picture)

That's where it seems to be "uncovered"
The white stars on the picture show where the little "gaps" are.
It misses the sealing at that point.

I just send an e-mail with picture to SE, to see if they can sort this out for me.
Believe me, I would'nt bother so much, if it was just a cheap phone.

Thanks for the info Kristoffer, its helpfull because it starts to look like all of the W800 phones have this. My "left gap" is the "bigger".
Any more people that have or haven't this?

yes, the back rubber seal of the keys doesnt cover the top entirely.
Its like this on all w800's, nothing to worry about.

Its quite normal that phones are not sealed 100% unless you buy a model which are specifically designed for "rough use"

Thanks Numb for your helpfull and complete info!
Is there any solution that no white light escapes?
Especially my left key has it, too overdone for my taste!
