Kind find evidence that there was a IR enables phone before the 6110. SH888 came out 8 months after the Nokia.

The first Polyphonic phone being produced in mass was the Samsung N620. Q1 of 2002
It had built-in soundchip from Yamaha supporting up to 16 tones.

Costed about 340 euros when launched

The Sony J5 had polyphonic ringtones back in 2000. Heres a link:

I think the first phones with polyphonic melodies were panasonics. They could play it when no one else could. That was long time ago.
And Siemens SL10 from 1998 was indeed phone with multi colour display (quazi colour).
Also, the first phone with lithium ion battery and MP3 player was from Siemens.
The first phone with games was Nokia.

@fatreg. According to the Sony Ericsson website the J5 did have polyphonic ringtones and beat the N620 to the market by 2 years.

AFAIK, the first cameraphone was the Sharp J-SH04, and not the 7650. However, the 7650 did become the most "popular" one.
(Source: wikipedia, http://tinyurl.com/g3hzs

Also, the first smartphone appears to be the /// R380 and not the 9210

To add more, First phone with Vid rec was the Nokia 3650

First phone with PTT is the Nokia 5140

Also, world's first "walkman" phone (MP3 player capability) is the Samsung M100 (a.k.a Samsung 'Uproar')

{will keep adding more}
