@sarab: Yes you can, look under 'Live Streaming', in Video and TV Services, in Airtel Live!. Works best with EDGE enabled handsets. Currently you have 3 Channels : Aajtak, Zoom and CNBC. I've tried it on the k600i, its jerky and slow, without EDGE, but it does work.
@luigithfc: These wont work outside India.

K600 is a 3G phone, K750i isn't.
Don't you need a 3G mobile to stream live TV?

I've watched live tv on a K600 over GPRS... I know it was over GPRS because I didn't have 3G reception. It should be said though that the picture quality is jerky at best, especially when watching live sports.

No, I used the k600i on regular GPRS, there is no 3g reception out here.

Hi guy's, I have find the settings for sony ericsson K750i for watching TV channels on the mobile phone. These settings are working fine on my mobile. I am able to view 3 free to air channels. It doesnt show good picture but If I put the mobile phone at one place then i am able to see picture little clear. May be it depends on speed. but it is ok. It works with Airtel Live, sometimes it also works with mobile office. But sometimes only. Anyway here are the settings. Hope it will work on ur sets too. Enjoy.
Go to CONNECTIVITY and the open INTERNET SETTINGS then open INTERNET PROFILES. Under INTERNET PROFILES select NEW PROFILE. It will ask for NAME and CONNECT USING.
NAME ------ Airtel live
Now when u will select CONNECT USING it will show u NEW ACCOUNT option. select ADD and then select GPRS DATA under ACCOUNT TYPE. when you will select GPRS It will take u to NEW ACCOUNT and will ask for NAME. Again fill Airtel live and select CONTINUE. It will ask for APN, USER NAME, PASSWORD
APN ----- airtelfun.com (must be in small letters)
USERNAME ----- (leave blank)
PASSWORD ----- (leave blank)
After all this select SAVE and it will take u at DATA ACCOUNTS then select AIRTEL LIVE there. After selecting it will take u back to NEW PROFILE, select SAVE. It will give u msg NEW PROFILE CREATED and will take u back to INTERNET PROFILES.
Now SELECT AIRTEL LIVE and go to MORE option. you will find SETTINGS and ADVANCED option there. Select the SETTINGS. It will show u :- CONNECT USING, INTERNET MODE, USE PROXY, PROXY ADDRESS, PORT NUMBER, USER NAME, PASSWORD.
CONNECT USING -------- AIRTEL LIVE
INTERNET MODE -------- HTTP
USE PROXY -------- YES
PROXY ADDRESS -------- 100.1.200.99
PORT NUMBER -------- 8080
USER NAME ------- (leave blank)
PASSWORD ------- ( leave blank)
After doing all this select SAVE. Then go on ADVANCED, you will see CHANGE HOMEPAGE and SECONDARY ACCOUNT. select change homepage and u will see two options of NAME and ADDRESS
NAME ------- Airtel Live
ADDRESS ------- http://live.airtelworld.com
(must be in small letters and without any space.)
After doing this select SAVE.
Now come back to CONNECTIVITY and select STREAMING SETTINGS. You will find CONNECT USING, USE PROXY, PROXY ADDRESS, PORT NUMBER.
CONNECT USING --------- Airtel live
USE PROXY -------- No
PROXY ADDRESS -------- 0.0.0.0. ( make all zero there)
PORT NO ------- 0
First select USE PROXY to YES and then make PROXY ADDRES AND PORT NO to ZERO and then again turn the USE PROXY to NO. Now select SAVE option.
Now switch off ur mobile phone and take off battery and sim card for atleast 1 min. After one minute put all these things back and turn on ur mobile, and go to INTERNET SERVICES (from where we usually access the internet) select MORE. In MORE you will see many options, select CLEAR CACHE. and now select ENTER ADDRESS option under MORE and write the address :-
http://live.airtelworld.com
and enjoy watching Tv. |

Hi guy's, I think under video and tv services we can see only download and saved streamings. i am talking about the live streamings and K750i is able to show u live streaming. just, when u enter in the site live.airtelworld.com then select live streaming and u will be able to watch live channels on ur mobile phones. I also have find something, As i was writing settings for u people, my mobile was on airtel live and believe me i was able to open the yahoo, and rediffmail and esato and yahoo messenger on my pc through airtel live. I dont know if they will change me money for useing these site from airtel live. anyway now i switched it back to mobile office and using my internet. If you people can open other sites except live.airtelworld.com on ur pc through airltel live then let me know also and if anybody know that it is free or not,if we use internet on pc through airltel live then plz let me know. bye take care god bless u all. |
