I am having extreme difficulty getting this working at all. It worked with my K700i but doesn't seem to work on my W800i. It works perfectly over IR but with bluetooth either there is no bluetooth activity indicated on the phone, there is activity indicated but it doesn't start the globe spinning thing, or starts looking like it will connect but then gives an error message saying to check network coverage and data settings.

Settings are as follows. Default data account settings on W800i from O2 customisations, no changes whatsoever.

Devices are paired and allow connection always is set in the phone.

On Ipaq 2210 PPC connection settings.

Bluetooth Dialup Modem
Number: - *99***1#
Username: - username
Password: - password
Baud rate: - 19200
Extra dial-string modem commands:
+CGDCONT= 1,"IP","MOBILE.O2.CO.UK"
Ticked - cancel if not connected in 180 seconds
Data bits: - 8
Parity: - None
Stop bits: - 1
Flow control: - Hardware
User server assigned IP address.
Use specific server address
DNS 193.113.200.200
Alt DNS 193.113.200.201
Wins and Alt Wins 0.0.0.0

I'm guessing it's a bug with the W800i firmware. Very annoying

Cough. No responses *COUGH* *COUGH*

Yes repeat post but hey gotta consider that someone might see it here but not there. I'd have thought someone else would have experienced the exact same issue and either known a fix, or the problem.

+ I have included detailed info on this post...

On my Ipaq 3870 I use:

Number *99#
All the rest same as yours except that the username and password O2 recently asvised me that they should be 'mobileweb' and 'password'.

Still no luck.

As I said set the connection method between PDA and phone to IR. All works 100%. With bluetooth it doesn't work properly at all. My guess is a problem with the W800i. I have just upgraded to latest f/w and still no luck.

Hi

I had to check a checkbox in

Control panel
Bluetooth devices
Select w800i, and
Properties
under the Service tab, you have to check
Dial up networking (see picture).

to get it to work.

I still have this problem. Last post doesn't look like it is for a Pocket PC Ipaq running windows mobile 2003. 7 months on now - does anyone have any advice?

Current w800i f/w R1AA008 (intend to try and update it but SEUS won't for some reason claiming I have latest F/W).

The bluetooth itself seems to be the problem (or is bluetooth on the ipaq 2210 crap? i have applied all updates etc) - as IR works perfectly with same settings - I do not see why switching to bluetooth should stop it working. Surely someone else has a PPC and W800i using Bluetooth and GPRS. Any tips? Please please please. Beg beg Otherwise opera mini on my mobile will have to suffice
