I've just been given a SE K300i. Im trying to cnnect it to my laptop so i can transfer pics and vids off the phone onto the pc. And also put some mp3s from the pc onto the phone.
However, i cant seem to get the mob and the phone to communicate over infrared. Is there some setting i need to setup. I have xp so i assumed i just need to enable infrared on the phone and point it at the infrared panel on the laptop but it wont work.

I dont think win xp has native Irda, however when I had my old pc with win 98se all I had to do was inable the windows Irda monitor.

You have to enable the infrared on your laptop too! Mostly it is disabled in the BIOS and needs to be enabled there first! |

Try sending a pic from the phone to the laptop via infared. Make sure the ports of your phone and the laptop are lined up and only 2cm apart. Try sending at least twice, because with the first try, many times you must "wake up" the port on the laptop first.

Just turn the phones IR on, point it at the computer. Then right cilck any files you want to transfer and click send to near by computer. Works with my laptop and K750, also worked with th K700 as well. |

Having the ports line up is key.
