because I went to orange shop today they said all there phones have been trouble free.
So can anyone confirm what is going on with there w800 on Orange network.

had w800 on orange uk for about 2 months. It has got R1L firmware, cos that's all there was back then. I'm happy with the overall performance and stability of the phone, and I've not been tempted to update to the latest.

I have a Sony Ericsson W800i on Orange. It came with the RIL002 Firmware and i suspect it has some bugs because sometimes my calls and menu bars in the screen disappear and afterwards the phone reboots flashes white then comes on again lol, i should have a word with the people at phones4u. |

Mine came with R1N035 on it, and nothing but problems. The first one wiped the memory card clean, and rendered it useless, the second one is nothing but bother with bluetooth, always freezing, menus freezing, and rebooting.

I have realised a new problem. When i attempt to connect to my memory stick on my W800i through the bluetooth on my laptop, my bluetooth freezes on the laptop, and the W800i reboots when i end the bluetooth application on my laptop. Would this be because of the bluetooth on my laptop or the W800i firmware. |

I know I'lm ressurecting an old thread but this one's the closest to my subject.
I have been given a W800i with Orange branded R1N035 firmware.
As I live in france I have had the phone unlocked so I can use it with my SFR card. I went to Sonyericsson and asked for the GPRS and MMS OTA config. These I recieved correctly.
MMS works correctly however the Orange World refuses to work.
I have checked the configuration with SFR who've said all is OK. I have tried both wap and http, with and without gateway. I have even configured manually their CSD connection to no avail.
I have a strong impression that the Orange Homepage is hardcoded as each time systematically I get :
"Communication failure, try again or get your service provider to help you with correct settings".
I have seen someone else with the same problem :

Does anyone here have any suggestions ?

Downloaded Opera Mini for the phone. The connection works perfectly.
I'm sure Orange hardcode their Orange World homepage.
