'preferred nets' ?! on T68i |

Hello,
my (not locked) T68i works fine on T-Mobile SoCal, GPRS, WAP and all - but for some reason the network shows up as 'Cingular'. (I can only ever choose AT&T or Cingular here, never T-Mobile).
I am wondering if this has to do with the PREFERRED NETS setting on the phone. It doesn't seem it can be changed though ? I can view full name, change priority and delete, but how would you search or create ?
Is this part of the issue, or is SoCal T-Mobile simply using Cingular Towers which is what the phone is getting ? I am on T-Mobiel no doubt, as the numbers and all work....
Any help and education on what 'preferred nets' is would be appreciated !!
Thanks,
Daniel.

Hello Daniel
I don't think that your problem is due to the preferred network but anyhow you can fine more of them by Add New and i think there are all the available services name given but if you still can not find yours than i think there is no way to add up by yourself or you better contact in your country

Hello,
well, but the preferred nets setting does not HAVE any 'add new' or such option. THe only options there are, are: change priority, delete and full name. The search network function in GSM setup is unrelated. There has to be a way to find out more about the pref nets - the manual only mentions it, without any explanation.
The Cingular thing might be due to T-Mobile using their Towers in SoCal ?! But I wonder, is anyone else using T68i (R2E Software!) on T-Mobile in SoCal and having this 'issue' ?
Thanks,
Daniel.
