Hey everyone!

I've owned this k750i for the best part of a week now and its totally awesome!!.. My prev phone was a T610 so I came into this with high expectations to start with and havent been dissapointed.

One thing i have noticed though is that after searching around most k750i websites, and searching these forums that I've yet to find a dynamic theme that quite matches up to the standard set by the default themes of this phone. The eternal theme is fantastic!.. by this generalisation i mean that its a fast dynamic background that moves smoothly and doesnt slow down the phone at all. The colurs are well placed and really suit the phone.

This is not to detract from others who have done great jobs making themes here. I just wanted to praise the high standard that came from the default options on this phone. While other themes i have seen are visually great, they remind me of the kind of themes that we would expect to see on the T610. Being a new K750i owner I am still in that fresh stage where i am constantly looking for things that show how much better the phone is.

Does anyone else here think these themes are awesome?!?!... if not pls feel free to show what you think is a far superior theme in your opinion. Please lets all respect each others opinions here .

I too like the eternal theme, even though Im usually not that funned of animated themes (they use more battery than static themes).

I've seen many good themes around for K750, but usually I turn to my friend Spawn when I want a good theme for my phones, I like his style.

Here is a link to his K750/W800 themes:

you can also find many really good themes on places like mobile9.com and other sites.

Eternal is my favourite too.. In fact, it's this theme which caught my eye and made me buy K750i in the first place..

I had a question: How safe is it to use these downloaded themes? Is it possible that K750i themes might contain malicious code that can infect the phone? I know K750 doesn't have an OS and hence it's not easy to infect it, but I just want to be careful while downloading themes. Is there some way to do a 'virus scan' on theme files??

No need to worry
A theme cannot contain any virus or malicous code, and the K750 cannot get infected with virus since its OS is hardcoded into firmware. Only smartphone OS's can get infected.

True, the sites are indeed legitimate. But isn't the content uploaded by individual contributors? That was my worry..

But in any case if K750i can't be infected, i don't mind downloading themes from anywhere..

Don't be daft, no they don't - they're never on the screen for long enough as only the desktop (blank) animates, and the screensaver/clock kicks in after a few seconds. Even if there is a slight increase in battery consumption, you'd never notice it.

Sorry for being daft
Its actually not just the desktop, but also the highlights which is animated in the eternal theme. Animated themes consist of animated gif files with several images in them, it uses more processing power to show which in turn use more battery everytime the desktop lits up, or you navigate your phone using the highlights (when these are also animated). I dont want to argue, but it is a fact that animated themes use more battery, wheather you think im daft or not

you´re wrong, they do eat a lot off battery if using large animated gif files, and if you use your phone a lot during the day...playing the animations will need more processing power from the phone, and it will eat more battery

I understood that, and indeed numb covered it very well, however legitimate sites have virus scanners, so any content uploaded with viruse infections gets nuked

And being a mad downloader myself I've downloaded just about every theme on all those sites, (sad I know) and never came across one that was virus infected.
