Okay, I notice with these SIMs when you put them in your phone you get a number of free texts...
But, how many, and how long do they last?
One I had lasted what seemed unlimited texts for a month, but another I used had free texts for about, 18 hours, and I sent about 4 texts.
Anyone know how this thing works? Or how to get more texts/make unlimited texts last longer? |

On most free sims, you will get the first allowance free, i.e 300 nfree texts for a month. And that it, once the month has gone or the 300texts used up, you will need to top up £10 |

300 free texts per calendar month or 100 free xnet minutes per calendar month.
Brought to you straight from the event horizon of a quantum singularity. |

Oooh, meant to add, this is BEFORE topping up or anything
And erm, I can never call when I put one in.
And like I said, on one I only got like, 4 texts >_<

you have to top up with your £10 to activate your free messages
the date you top up on is your 'anniversary date' - meaning if you top-up today, its the 4th of the month, so to get your free allowance next month, you have to top-up either on the 4th or BEFORE that date, otherwise if you top-up after the later date becomes the new anniversary date.
hope that makes sense people

But nonono, you don't NEED to put credit on to get free texts.
If you shove one of the SIMs in your phone you can text straight away, I wanna know how many you can send, or for how long you can send them. |

If you dont top-up then you shouldnt be able to text. As mentioned you need to top-up with £10 to get your 300 free texts.

the current promo for o2 payg is the first month free BUT you have to have registered the sim by text. its all online. being able to text or wap from them free is a fluke and not a given. |

Well on the SIM I put in last night I got a text saying about the free game and ringtones and something else you get (These are meant to be given, 'sin the book thing), but this time it told me I have 5MB of GPRS too =D, and I still get these texts, and I've had some everytime I've put one in, even if one only had like, 5 texts out of it
And oh yeah, I haven't registered the SIM yet either, I do that when it runs out of free texts then use the £2.50 to send more texts, and register for the MSG100 treat, lmao.

So y'all know, I've now sent 60 messages since I put the SIM in 12 hours ago. I haven't registered, nor topped up, or anything like that. Simply put the SIM in and started texting, so there's my proof you don't need to do anything to be able to text straight away ^_____^ |

Unless you send the registration text and get your free £2.50 cred.... then the texts last like 1/2days.
