t68i - c button - no good |

Hi folks, I'm wondering if some experts here might be able to help me with my problem.
I dropped my gf's t68i in the toilet a while ago.
After letting it dry out, I re-flashed and re-ARMed it, snce I have the terminator dongle and software.
It works fine now and the battery still holds a good charge.
The only problem is that the c button doesn't work AT ALL. Everything else is fine. the toilet swim didn't even kill her address book and prefs
Does anyone have any idea? Am I using the wrong software (t68 maybe?)
Any help would be great ~ phil
p.s... yes, I did go fishing.

there is no solution against water damage, u should get a new one for her, or get r310 or r250, those fones survive such actions.

When I dropped my T68i into some beer a few years ago it worked ok except for the c key. There is no way to fix it without replacing the main board. You might as well get a new phone.

i see -- so it is not soft/firm-ware related. thanks folks.
i'd much rather grab it out of beer than the toilet.
by main board, you mean the computer, not the keyboard? |

the main board is the panel where the screen is on. u can get for sure another t68i for cheap, but i would suggest to go for th "real" t68, the m version, with the rubber back.

Perhaps you have SE service point in your hometown? Take your T68i to the service point for cleaning. |
