Okay, the headphones provided with my W800i sound good, not as good as my iPod but they're still good. And they are much more secure than the Apple in-ear headphones, they don't even move a bit. But the problem is that the headphone adapter is damaged, thus if I even touch the adapter the sound quality decreases, the earphones cut out, and so on. You can imagine that this makes using the phone as an MP3 player quite irritating.

Is this covered by warranty? It didn't come out of the box like this I admit, but seriously, I have not bent it, I have not put the phone in my pocket with it, I have not dropped the phone with it plugged in, it's just a seriously poor design with the small gold connector pins. Also it's a loose structure that just sticks out of the phone, making it easier to damage.

Are other W800i-ers experiencing this?

well i would say most things are covered on warranty. just say they were like that when you got them and are now irritated with them. should get a replacement. havent seen anyone else complaining about this(i do not have a w800 btw)

Hmm, sounds like a loose connection. Get the adapter exchanged I think, hopefully the problem isn't with the connectors inside the phone.

Also, they don't sound as good as the stock ipod earphones? You've gotta be kidding, the iconic white ipod buds are seriously some of the worst intra-aural phones around. Almost anything is better than them!

I am having no prob with MP3 but I was having frequency loss prob while using FM Radio. I complained abt the same during warranty period. they didnt replace it but they repaired it. so i guess it is covered under warranty.

No, I mean the In Ear headphones. The stock ones are bad, I agree. But then it's not fair to compare either as the W800i ones are In Ear. I am comparing the In Ear ones from my iPod (Apple branded) to the W800i ones.

I don't think it is the phone itself, which would be much better. I don't mind buying a new set of headphones, but they're not out here yet I think.
