Hi,

i'm struggling to the point of chucking this t630 out of the window.

I have a bluetooth dongle attached to my pc. my samsung d500 works fine with it, my other bluetooth devices work fine with it. But i can't get this t630 to work properly.

I have paired the phone and my pc. I can see the folders on the phone in my bluetooth places. I can transfer files from the phone to my pc. But when i try to drag and drop a midi file to the phone from my pc it says

'invalid FTP request'

please someone tell me what i have done wrong. the pc and phone can communicate as i say but just not from pc to phone transfer.

thanks..

Talisman- Does it happen ONLY with midi files? Coz if it works with Samsung, then one can deduce its T6 specific issue. > Can you try putting back one of the 'same' midi's you transfer.d from the phone. Am assuming, but it could have something to do with the 16 tone/ frequency/ 16bit or whatever its called.. issue. A computer can play ALL the 'range' of the advanced midi format, not every phone. So compatibility, which folder you put it in Also matter. FTP BT errors may solve by re- pairing too..

If the t630 is anything like other SE phones, you can only transfer certain types of files to certain folders, for example on my P910 you can't transfer video files to any of the audio folders.

Have you tried transfering the midis to different folders on the phone? I've never used bluetooth to transfer files to a T630 so I'm not familiar with the directory structure and as such I can't be specific I'm afraid.

Why not just right click on the file, send to, bt, T630.
That should put the file automaticaly into the correct folder on your phone.

Hi folks,

thanks for the replies.

I managed to get it going by creating a transfer folder and moving the files into that from the pc then moving them into the appropriate folder on the phone.

A bit long winded but never the less it works.

thansk again,

cheers,
