hey.. um.. i got my w800i about a month ago.. and i noticed things wrong with my phone lately.. the phone cover squeaks, the glass in front is kinda loose, and most annoying is the orange piece of rubber in the middle of the joystick thing fell off and i cannot find it.. just wanted to know if the rubber piece is replacable, cos im okay with the other problems.. and if the warranty covers the squeaky cover, loose glass front and the rubber piece.. thanks

Go on the SE site and ask them in the support section.I think they will fix the glass or change the housing and put a new rubber new rubber if you ask them.

It sounds to me as if it's a cheap imitation instead of a real SE phone.
I know that there are lot's of fakes going arround in China.
When it's a real SE (and you didn't drop it from the stairs f.e.) it's all in the warranty so don't worry.

all se covers squeaks, thats the painful result of "quantity production" instead of quality. the glass sounds as manufacturing failure, guess se offers u a new housing.

Be easier for them to put a new housing on than fix the loose glass.

They mention in warrent terms that "the warranty does not cover physical damage". So they have a big excuse if they dont wanna change the cover.. Try your luck..

hey there.. i sent the phone to a sony ericsson service center.. said they would replace the rubber n try to do something bout the casing.. im from malaysia, n i bought that phone at a sony shop.. sony style, if it means anything.. anyway, the rubber is not warranted but maybe the casing is, so we'll see.. i just hope that little rubber piece is not too expensive..
