I'm trying to connect my laptop to the net with my K750i and managed to get packets sending and recieving, and I'm told by Windows XP that I'm connected sucessfully, but no sites will load.

I understand that I may be having this problem because need to ask my network operator (O2) to activate something for me, but before I spend my time and money trying to contact them I'd like to confirm that this is the most likely cause of my problem.

Can anyone help?

Just the usual 'Page Cannot Be Displayed' screen when I try to view anything in IE. Otherwise the connection appears to be fine.

At what speed are U connected cause if the speed is the same that U get on your phone when connected via gprs say arround 54kbps then U r connected through gprs but if the speed is different then U are just connected to the phone & Ur service provider has to activate the facility of using Ur phone as a moderm.

the gprs settings you have are most likely for wap browsing only. carriers usually have a separate setting (APN) for internet access. either try contacting your carrier for the interet settings, or you can try having them sent to your phone from the SE link below:

(the internet APN is at the 'email' link)

Yeh,

A few things to check.

If you have more that 1 data accounts.

Make sure that when u enter the numbers eg. *99***3#

3 indicate the CID of the data account you would like to use.

Normally the account that work on the phone browser, works for PC net too. But that you may just need to confirm
with you SP.

Cool,
