You probably have to use two different GPRS-accounts for the mail to work. One account is set up for WAP and the other is set up for mail. In the mail setup choose to connect with the GPRS-mail account. The only difference I have in these to GPRS-account is that for mail the setting "APN" is blank ie nothing in the GPRS-account for mail bur for WAP I have a adress given to me from my operator (Europolitan in Sweden).

Good luck!

You DO need two different data-accounts.
One for WAP, and one for email.

In email-settings, remember that pop3 server name or ip-adress is your internet/email-providers pop3-adress.

The SMTP server have to be your PHONE-OPERATORS smtp-adress. And dont write smtp.name, use the ip-number instead.

This works with gprs.
This is what my pop and smtp looks like :

pop3 server: vip.cybercity.dk
smtp server: 195.041.046.146

cybercity.dk is my internet provider.
The smtp ip-number is my phone/gprs providers.

First I tried with smtp-NAME, that didnt work. It only works for me with ip-adress in smtp.

And it works fine too

Hi, Im getting troubles accessing pop3 email - Do i have to set up an account with an ISP to dial up with, then use my pop2 account details to access mail? Or can i dial up with my wap (which is free) and access pop3?

At the monent, i have a freeserve account to dial up to, then that checks me blueyonder email - But it says cannot find server.

Any help would be great
