which phone for the kids? |

I was browsing around the net looking for some phones to give to my kids as a gift for this holiday. I’ve come across many phones from many locations. From phones with camera’s to stylis with mp3 players built in. But which one?
Kids nowa days are always taking pictures recording clips of videos and listening to music. So which one? I’m sure they’ll like a phone that has all these features built in it. Like w800i or D600.
I’ve come across many webpages that sells such phones. They have those phones for close to $500.00 and compared to everywhere else its actually a bargain. What do you guys think? Are you guys buying any phones as a gift? And which ones?

Depending on how old the kid is, im not being rude but im sure you know what kids are like and offten and easily they lose/misplace/forget their stuff. Getting an expensive phone like the ones you mentioned is not something that i would do personaly.
I would get them a cheaper phone, there are many phones out there now days that take pictures, im sure your kids dont need a 2MP camera on their phone.
Nokia 6230, amazingly easy to use and navigate, decent screen and camera, fairly cheap to get now days and has expandable memory for mp3s. Thats my recomendation.
Hope it helps.

I understand your concerns, and thanx for the tip.
My kids are 15 and 17, they're very well organized, and also responsible, for my girl I want to get her a nice phone, because I think she deserves it.
For my boy, I am a bit sceptical though because he might just loose it like you've said, I think he needs a new video game. But I do want to get him a phone just so that he understands what responsibility is. |

Get them something decent I'm 15 and have just sold my K750i.
If you don't want to spend too much then go for a 6230/i .
If they don't mind about phones go for a V220 or K500i.
If you want them to know you as the God of all dads, get them a K750i/W800i..
For what you're after though, I think your daughter may appreciate a pink Samsung E330 or Motorola V3.
Your son would like something like the 6230 as it's been said, you can get them as cheap as £50 second hand nowadays and if he does lose it get him a T68i

True, although it seems our generation won't be as kind as the current one.

they aint kids. im around that age and wouldnt dream of letting my phone being misplaced. also if you get them a crap phone others would take the mick. i would say a 6230,k700 or even a s700 if you dont want to spend too much. or you could get a k750,w800 etc....
dont get a v3 for your daughter. it may look good but it sucks feature wise. ask max99

the W800i will be the most requested mobile phone present during the holliday's.
to be on the safer side the K300i will do. he'll have lots of fun with it, and its reliable.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

At the age of 15 and 17 they best choose their phones themselves.
Take them to the store, set a celing on the price and ask them to take a pick.
I believe that if you show up with two phones for them at home they are bound to compain one way or another. At thet age they are hard to please if they don't get a wee say in it.

I am 16. I started Esato at 13. Trust me, dont choose one for them
my dad chose one for me at 11 and it was great, but at 13 it was my choice for the T300 and ive never looked back since! 12 SE phones, its been fun.
