Hi
I want to use the GPRS on my phone to browse the web on my Ipaq 4410 using bluetooth.
I think I may need to update the firmware on my phone (I'm not sure). Also, I assume in effect I need to use the phone as a modem, I cant see how to do this.
I have a USB cable to connect to the phone to my computer but I don't have the cradle that SE refer to on their web site.
Does anyone have a guide as to how to go about this?
Thanks

You dont need all that. Just pair the two devices through bluetooth and you should be able to use the gprs on the phone to browse on your pda

Perhaps I'm missing something but it doesn't seem quite that simple!
The services on the K700i which are available to the PDA are:
Serial Port
Serial Port 2
OBEX File transfer
Dial-up networking
Which do I chose, and what then?
Thanks

My first guess would be Dial-Up networking.

I tried that - it asks for a phone number to dial. |

thats the same problem as when trying to pair your phone with the PC with the intension of using GPRS.
not sure how to get around that...with my PalmOne Zire 72, it automatically uses GPRS for the internet when paired with a phone so it is possible! |
