A few days back i decided to take the plunge and bought a pay as you go k750i (On offer at virgin for £189 if you buy £60 of calltime). Its running on FW R1L002. With all the talk of issues when updating i was wondering whether it was actually worth upgrading from this firmware?

How will it affect photo quality, and how about battery life?
Ive noticed that battery life takes a beating when listening to MP3's. Is this improved at all?

Thanks all, this is my first SE phone so its good to know you guys are here .

As firmware updates usually tend to improve the performance of the devices they are intended for, It maybe worth your while to keep them up to date as a general rule. You can also keep an eye out for the release notes for the particular firmware you are updating to, If you can find them. As some are not always freely available to the general public. Unless i am totally mistaken

Hi,
My policy is..if it isn't broken, dont fix it. I am running the same firmware on my W800 and have had no notable problems for me to update the firmware. Plus i've read a few nasty stories about updates going awry. I think battery life will always getting a caning when using the music player personally.
