Hi, im having trouble with my firefox browser. alot of links on websites i cannot access becuase it says that it has been refused and i get this alert:

'the connection was refused when attempting to contact uk.sitestat.com'

why is this and how do i sort this out? thanks

if you dont know, you most likley arnt. have you updated your browser latley? i was having a few problems with firebox at home, and recently updated, and it helped alot.

do you have any extensions installed and if so which ones. one recent update of gmail was causing a problem with logging onto websites the new version 0.5.2.1 fixed it but if your running an older one this maybe the problem.

Might be worth resetting the hosts file as well, particularly if the error page appears immediately rather than after a lengthy wait.

This little program resets the host file for you, and also applies a few other fixes to help problems such as this:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

No guarantees, but it's definately worth a try
