Hi All

I am an Indian living in UK, I intend to move to Pune within the next year. I am looking for some advice on where it might be the best area to buy a Property. I am interested only in the best areas. What can be a cost of properties? How advanced is Pune in terms of technology? Broadband providers, Cellular netoworks?, Phone services etc.

I would appreciate advice from any local residents.

Thanks

Raja

i dunno any thing about property
Cellular services include GPRS and EDGE if v lucky 3G by next year. Broadband connections are rated at 256 Kbs which isnt that great. All in all internet service is weak due to the lack of adequate infrastructure. 2Mbs connections are offered although i doubt u get more than 50Kbps max anywhere

I stay in Pune and was born in the UK. Where I stay, Koregoan Park is probably one of the nicest and best places to live and buy property. Appreciation is ridicously high!

You can PM me if you need more info. As for broadband, you get what you pay for. If you need a budget connection you can get the regular broadband 256 kbps line, which is decent. If you need higher bandwidth there are a couple of good options available like Exatt and Tiger, with shared and dedicated bandwidth upto 10MBPS. Those might cost a little more, but its more like something you'd find in the states or in the UK

Hope this helps..!
