The iPod 5th gen is my third.

Anyway, just a word of warning if you intend to use the case/sleeve that comes with the new iPod. It's an extremely tight fit, so if you have any specks of dust/dirt on the iPod and then slide on the cover, I suspect you'll end up with scratching. [addsig]

hmm.... best thing i can think of is...

Getting the iShield.... then putting it in a sock...

I really don't like ANY cases on the market... spoils the look.

I've had: 3rd Gen, 1st Gen Mini, iPod Nano and very soon iPod with Video.

I've still got my 3rd Gen and it's fantastic

Yeah i loved the buttons on the 3rd gen... very nice! When i get my car, i'll have a 3rd gen hooked up to the sound system, so easy to use the buttons on the 3rd, especially when it's docked.
