ive read thru the threads regarding the R1n update, and everything is fine, i have the java installed and the R1N update file is in the folder: prog files\sony ericsson\update service\software-data
when i run SEUS, i get to the stage where it tells you to hold c and plug the cable in, this is where im lost...
when i do this the found new hardware pops up in the system tray 'found usb device' then it brings the window to install a new driver. i was under the impression i then choose 'install from a specific location' then go hunt for the R1N file? when i go to the software-data folder it wont go any further ie the 'ok' wont highlight and it wont let me select any kind of driver
im so close to getting this done and i know its something silly but can someone please help me out? the main reason i want this update is for the better signal as my house is terrible for a signal
thanks in advance

after plugging in the phone holding down the c-button, where it asks for a driver, you need to point to the location where you have stored the special USB FLASH-driver needed, the one you should have downloaded before trying to update, as described on the update page
Its not the firmware files, those will be automatically installed by the update software, but a special USB flash driver that needs to be installed.
Heres a link:

PS: about R1N being the worst firmware to date, thats not true for everyone. I have no problems at all, but some has experienced the file corruption bug as described in many threads here. I can not guarantee that you wont experience it, neither that you will.

I agree with numb, I don't think R1NA is much better or worst than R1L. The only problem so far that I had with it is that I cannot upload more than 15 files at a time, so what i do is i use windows explorer to drag and drop one song at a time when adding songs to the phone. Haven't lost any files whatsoever. In fact I'm now much happier with R1NA to R1L. I'm starting to wonder if SE makes different versions of R1N for different regions as some people don't experience problems that others do. Could it be just a problem in the updating process? |

hi again, i managed to get my phone onto the new firmware but now the camera isnt working, just doesnt let you into it all, i feared this happening judging by what ive read on here
does anyone know the solution to this without going near davinci?
i have read alot of the threads about the whole k750 firmwares and theres just too many posts to try and read through it all to find the solution to just 1 thing.
if someone can help me out id really appreciate it, is it worth trying to use SEUS again and trying to update it again?
thanks
