Since it is coming up to halloween, i thought i would start a thread on how to make home made fireworks!
So if you know any methods of making safe and easy to make fireworks from the comfort of your home, then please post how!

OK first of all dont!
playing with gun powder/explosives is not a good idear, regardless how carefull you are it only takes one mistake and you have lost your sight.
Even if you manage to make one at home who knows how it will react when you light it, it may explode and you will be putting others at risk.
My advice mate, buy some proper fireworks.

Any good chemistry book will tell you what to buy and how to mix. But as DJ so rightly points out it is a bloody stupid thing to do. You may also risk detention under Anti-terrorism laws.
Just go to your local organized display.
