Can a converted v802 to z800 use the SE update service |

It may have been posted before but I could not find a definitive answer.
I have a v802 the was converted to a z800 and was wondering if there is any way to use the SE update service to get the latest firmware on my phone?

Nope this is not possible...sorry! You are going to have to use TMS or other service to update the phone now |

Do we know what is stopping the SE Update service from working on the converted v802 phones or is it just a case that people have tried and it didn't work? |

it won't work because your imei number is registered to a v802 model. so even if you flashed it with a z800 software, se update service will not recognize you phone since it was originally intended for vodafone networks only.
