I have just read that Ericsson have now broken even in terms of the capital they in vested in the Sony Ericsson joint venture..

"Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (Sony Ericsson) reported units shipped up 29% year-over-year and 17% sequentially, reflecting a solid growth and market share gain. The increased investment in product development and marketing is starting to yield benefits. Sales increased by 22% year-over-year. Ericsson’s share in Sony Ericsson’s income before tax was SEK 0.7 b. for the quarter. The joint venture has now reached positive accumulated earnings, a significant milestone."

Good news for both Ericsson and who are striving to become the global leader in supply of telecommunications devices.

The Initial huge investment is always a huge risk for any company, some companies never see a return on their money for decades but this is good news for both companies who are now seeing positive cashflow for the first time since they began the venture.

I wonder if Mario2002 is starting to see a return on his investment....

Mario?

They should invest more in customer service and repair capability.

Are you not happy with their service?

I have repaired my V800 which was broken into tow halfs.

It took about one day. I am happy with their service.

I think they should invest more in marketing.
