Anyone successfully got CarPhone Warehouse (UK) to warranty repair a fone with no receipt? |

i bought a brand new k750i (for my cousin) off a forum and it was brand new, with 12months warranty.
now a a few months down the line the camera has started playing up, when i open the camera slider i see lines on screen and i can hear what seems a whirring noise like the zoom motor, i dunno!
what you reckon this could be?
can i just take it to Carphone Warehouse to get it repaired? but i dont have a receipt?
what do i say? it was a gift? or i bought it off ebay?
any info much appreciated!

Hi, you dont achually need a reciept, thy base it on the imei, then they will ask are you .... and you say you are doing it on their behalf, do not say you bought it etc as its onyl for original purchase, thoguh saying its a gift may work

Please tell me what happens as i bought a k750i from ebay aswell and would like to know if i can have my phone repaired! How long is the warranty on these phones?

you get a 12 month warrenty on all phones, but you can't say you got it off ebay the warrenty is only valid for the 1st and original buyer, I once took in a 7600 that i got off ebay to get flashed, I had no idea it still had warrenty, but they plugged in the imei no and it came up on their system, thay asked if I was ..... i said im doing it on his behalf, and they did it for free, saving me 30 quid
