Has this happened to anyone? I just found out there is some dust underneath the main screen on my 750i

I am not sure how it got there...but I was wondering how I could remove it...? Is there a way to easily lift off the screen and clean it or is that risky and break warranty?

Welcome to the under-the-screen-dust club. The front of the case needs to be removed to clean it out. Can you live with it?

the frontcover holds a foam screen sealant, which prevent dust from coming under the screen.

Therefore if you do have dust under your screen, the frontcover is not assembled correctly onto the frame of the phone, and should be removed, checked for the existens of the foam sealant and reassembled correctly. A new foam sealant can be bought on the net if its missing for some odd reason.

Its actually very easy to do, but if you dont feel up to it yourself I advice to take it to nearest servicecentre.

If you want to investigate yourself, simply take off the batterycover, unscrew the 2 torx 6 screws in the buttom, carefully lift of the front cover by inserting something like a butterknife in the edges.

heres the full guide with pictures (its not me who made the guide, but gbrooks3)

Numb has pretty much covered it. Being the clumsy kind, I'd rather have Auth Serv Center people look at it or any Pro. But once my old T310 grew old (and out of warranty) I would fiddle with it. In my S700, no dust, but I have seen one of those very small dust-mite or such creature moving about !! So its not a vaccum sealed space. Getting it cleaned though, is better IMHO..
