1. Can the K750i/W800i play RealMedia either with its Media Player or with other software? (like software downloaded from websites for example)

2. Do both the K750i and W800i have exactly the same accessory compatibility and capabilities?

3. Is video recording on these models limited to a specific time or is it only limited by free space on the phone's memory or card?

4. What exactly are the differences between the 'Activity Menu' on the K750i and the 'Walkman' menu on the W800i? will i be missing out if i buy the W800i as far as this menu is concerned?

5. I've read that the W800i has problems since the camera button is harder to use and the cover doesnt close properly, leaving gaps which shouldnt be there (i read this on the moique review). are these true? has anyone recently purchased the W800i and had these problems? it looked to me (from the pics) that there wasnt a gap, just a difference in design - is it really a mistake in production? How much would you estimate i would have to wait before the deficiencies of the W800i in construction are resolved so i can safely purchese the phone, if i were to wait?

6. i also read that its hard to leave the K750i on its back because it doesnt sit flat and it spins with the slightest push - would a Body glove or similar case solve this problem?

3. You can change it to keep recording until your memory card or phone memory is all used up.

1. No, not unless the RealMedia file is converted to another format before you put it on the phone.

6. That's correct, but I've not found it a problem as I never put my phone down on a hard surface (to prevent scratching). A case probably would help but then you have to content with the belt clip, which again means it wouldn't lie flat.

I'll fill in some more

2. yes

3. There are two settings, "for picture message" which is about 10 seconds and "high quality video" which is limited by your memory

4. The walkman button is purely for controlling the music whereas the activity button shows you any missed call, text messages, alarms etc. It has a second tab for your shortcuts which is customisable and a 3rd tab for your bookmarks

5. I bought my w800i two weeks ago and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever especially on the camera front. There are no gaps and the quality is amazing. I also find the shutter very good, it has never slid open once in my pocket. There doesn't seem to me to be any manufacturing problem.

I can still access My Shortcuts by pushing the joystick up right? so in fact, without the Activity Menu button, and by using the My Shortcuts function, i can do the same things with just one extra step (joystick up)? Can i see missed calls, text messages, alarms etc. by customizing the My Shortcuts function?

edit - Can the memory card be constantly left in the phone, and be safe? Is it locked in the slot so it wont fall out, or is it designed to be used for something and then kept somewhere safe?

To my knowledge there is no way to view a summery of missed calls etc other than the missed calls/msg icons.. On my W800i I have my shortcuts as..

LEFT - new msg
RIGHT - recieved msgs

I use the CALLS button to view missed calls etc.. don't know if that's of much help?

With regards to the memory stick, yep, you can keep it stored in the phone, the stick itself locks in when you press it in, additionally the rubber cover is secure too.

So essentially you retain the functionality of the Activity Menu through other shortcuts right?

sorry if i'm becoming annoying with all these posts about the Activity Menu, but i'm thinking of the W800i, and menu functionality is important for me, so i want to know how much i'll be giving up along with the Activity Menu.

can new messages and missed calls be accessed directly through function buttons when they appear as icons on the screen? (if they do)

What about speed dial? Do you press the number and then call? And is it only up to 9 numbers? What about voice command? What about software? What's the difference in software between the 750i and w800i? And are there any special programs that convert different formats for the phone to use?

what's nrs? So does that mean it's not possible for speed dialing to go past 10 (like if i wanted to speed dial 60). And how do you use voice command? I have a T616 but I never figured out how to use it. Do you need a headset?

Yes, you can retain the functionality of the Activity Menu through thoughtful assignment of shortcuts. As mentioned, a useful shortcut is that of access to the INBOX.. this tied in with the onscreen unopened msg icon suits this purpose.

To be honest I've not had much opportunity to use a K750.. if any K750 users have insight to functions of the Activity Menu that can't be replicated in some form or other through shortcuts, please post.

Kind Regards Angelical_1

EDIT.. Yes it works with a 1gb Memory Stick Duo / Pro

It doesn't matter whether it's Sandisk or Sony? And what about a case?
