Isn't there some way of saving messages to the external memory? It would make much more sense

P910 limited to 999. (so i heard, never gotten that far).
don't get a P910 sure its still one of the best symbian phones on the market. but the P990 is only a "few" months away
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

on my p910i I have had about 1300 at pmce, but when it gets to that it starts to take a while to load lol, but another downside I found if you can only delete something like 840 messages at once lol
Check out my sales
I am a mac fanboy .
I will honor Laffens gift of P990 flip free avartar, but I sold the p990

Go for the P-Series. That'll store pretty much as many as you need, and has other advantages too ...

can P9 transfer messages to ext memory?

OT: SPVE200 (MS Smartphone)... it can simply hold 10,000 messages or more depends on your memory!

My 6600 can store 1000's of messages on the mmc, but as has been said, it'll take forever to load eventually. Not to mention that the internal memory is way too little anyway, so saving huge numbers of messages to the phone's memory is never a good idea.
