Anyone tell me if a W800i buying direct from O2 online has branded firmware, menus, pictures etc?

Thanks,

Andy.

OK how do you do that? I want it to be unbranded cos I had major problems with a K500i before.

Thanks,

Andy.

Well I got mine the other day, the only o2 stuff on the phone is the startup/shutdown shows and screensavers and an o2 theme for the menus. it works with other sims and you can update the firmware from the SE website.

I looked at SE site and see it is easy to download software. Does this overwrite the O2 stuff or what? Is this the firmware that is talked about having a major bug in it though?

When I updated the firmware the O2 stuff didnt go away, but I dont think the O2 branding makes any difference to the phone.

Oh and i've had no problems with the new firmware.
