Having heard that many ppl are having trouble with the new fw, i've sent an email to SE asking if it is posible to rollback the fw before i made the decision on whether update the fw for my w800 or not.
I got this reply:
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre. We appreciate your
patience and apologise for the delay in responding to your e-mail.
Answer:
Regarding to your question, we would like to inform you that firmware update
will only enhance the overall stability and efficiency of the phone, it will
not add or delete the function! However, we are so sorry to inform you that
once the firmware is updated, it is unable to downgrade firmware via our
website or Customer Service Center! Your understanding is highly
appreciated.
I just found out that the 750/800 can play Flash Lite (*.swf) files yesterday.
and well... Today I've updated the FW to the new R1NA005 and the Flash file support is gone!!!
Is that a bug or SE just gave up FLASH... Hope the next FW will fix that.
It is so much fun with the Flash animation showing in the cell phone!

create whatever you want using Macromedia Flash.
publish the creation using Flash Lite 1.0 profile.
upload the *.swf to the phone. The phone would open up the web broswer to play the flash file in the previrous fw... |

@Derder- if its Generic (unbranded) handset, you may risk flashing with options outside SE, back to suitable FW. It looks like education.. till Prom the kids ok ok and then some new chapter begins in his life, turning him into a ruffian.
