Hi, i got a CD from my friend and i wanna rip it to my PC at a high quality. so wich free program would u recommend ?

Winamp doesn't work for me, is there any other good audio player beside WMP and Winamp ?

I use CDex for ripping and iTunes or winAmp for playback.

Winamp for windows pc's itunes for apple computers. iTunes on windows is really really crappy! Abd I highly do not recommend it!

i use foobar for playback , really recommend it as it uses very less cpu (noticably less than winamp) and very less memory footprint.

Does just use too much memory and cpu for me... It is made for mac's and runs best on them
@shyam335, you can set winamp up so it will use very little cpu and memory, just search google for speed up winamp tutorial...

For playback winamp5.03 (last crap-free version) with classic skin-dramatically lowers cpu usage.
For ripping to mp3 or wma format use WMP10 definitely- fast, easy, excellent rip.

For gods sake don't use wma... there is allways some license problems with it... Use mp3 or ogg instead...

it gives an error when i start to playback audio files...
i tried every version, even the Pro version with a crack... but nothin' changed...

i Downloaded iTunes, it uses too much CPU and isn't very good for just playing audio files.
i'll try foobar2000 now...

I have used some ripper called "im too"..
But have you tried reinstalling audio codecs and see if it fixes winamp?
