W800 / K750 Fatal Flaw? |

I love the W800 & K750, and I'm strongly considering a purchase of one or the other. I want an all-in-one device (Phone/MP3 Player), so I thought I'd go with one of these phones instead of buying the iPod Nano. However, I travel quite often on airplanes, and the flight attendants always instruct passengers to turn off their phones while in flight. So, since I can't live without music on long flights, the W800 and K750 wouldn't work for me because I'd have to turn the phone off, correct? Or, is one able to listen to music on these phones without having the phone on? I don't want to waste money on the W800 or K750 if I can't use it during flights. Help! |

Yeah, w800 has flight mode, but the crews often don't understand that the phone can operate as just a walkman and insist you switch it off anyway.

That thread doesn't really get into specifics about "flight mode". Does this mean that the phone function is off (in accordance with flight rules) and the MP3 function is on? If so, then that is a terrific feature! Also, is this feature only offered on the W800? |

Only W800 has flight mode capability
ever since these phones were rumours people have been complaining in many threads why w800 has it and k750 doesn't

some short flights now insist you turn off ALL electrical devices,
so ipod would be a no-no anyway!

whenever i go on KLM for work, they say that it is a policy to turn off all electrical devices. The first time i tried to say that i had put the flight mode they said "you can play outside if you want to go outside..."
On cyprus airways and british airways on the other side we can play with our labtop all day long... |

I just skimmed this thread and I didn't see any major details about the flight mode.
It's important to note that all you can do is listen to music, nothing else, no games, etc.

When I asked the stewardess, I was told that it was policy not to accept flight mode |
