I have a subscription to O2 in the Netherlands, with my T65. The combination sounds perfect but works with some very subtle problem.

The problem is, the phone lose connection randomly, while everything shown on the screen was normal, you can see the "O2 NL", you can see the signal strength varying, but if I make a call, the phone will hang at "calling someone ....". If you dial my number at that time, you'll be prompt that the number is not available, but my phone shows everything ready and no call at all! This happens randomly and could be solved by a reset of the phone.

With this problem, I think the phone lost connection, or at least the network access. In most cases the phone shows everything OK, but it is also possible for it to show "invalid mobile" instaed of "O2 NL" sometimes. This is better than saying OK while my phone is not reachable!!!

I called O2, they think it's a problem with the contact between the SIM card and the phone. So I applied a sticker to my SIM card to make the contact tighter.

My questions:

1) Is the symptom from a loose SIM card like this? Or what does "invalid mobile" mean actually?

2) Is anyone also having problem like this?

3) What's the standard thinkness for a SIM card?

Might be one of theese solutions to your problem (which requires you to leave the phone to a servicepoint):

1. Your phone has old software, check (right * left left * left *) so that your phone has at least R4A

2. The sim card reader is defect, needs either to be replaced or adjusted.

There are quite many SIM related problems with T65, often it's caused by misaligned SIM drawer switch. But it can also be something else causing the problem.
