"Wait for the P800"
"Palm sucks! SE Rulz!"
There are both of your answers in abbreviated form, of course. I thought that I'd summarize the thread before it actually materialized... Seriously tho, if the P800 can deliver what it promises then it is your best bet. |

How can you claim that palm sucks when it is the most popular pda platform in the world. The p800 specs are great, but it has to prove itself yet.

I have visited the palm website and compared the two units. m515 & m130. aside from the price and the weight, the two is almost the same. but the 515 has a interactive flash demo (i dont what it is) and a bigger memory (16mb). maybe it would be much better if i can get comments from actual users

What are you going to do with a PDA? Around how much is your budget? |

@Flippereds, budget? well there was an accrued and allocated budget. not too big but can be streched. basically, its a long overdue dream, and i think this year is the right time to get one. i want value for money. reason for buying one? my t39 is getting bored, he´s requesting for a partner.

@jackal,your subject is 'to palm or not to palm' but you are choosing between two palm models. so if your subject is still what it is, i suggest casio e-200 pocket pc.it's the best value for money you can get. if i will get a pocket pc now, as in now, that's what i will get. |

@jackal, the E-200 is around 26K. we will beg le petit prince for a discount (le petit take note!) although there were bad rumours about it, i still think it's the best buy. |

Dont get the m130, it will not accept the bluetooth module-sd card. I suggest you make a list what you need in a pda, then list ur wants. Then find one that meets ur criteria! Expansion, and tight bugget do not in hand-in-hand.

Don't buy a palm now. The current palms are slow because most of them run on 33 mghz dragonball chips from motorolla and they have OS4. OS5 is just around the corner and it supports arm chips which are 200 mghz or more. The next gen palms will also have built in bluetooth. I don't like the bluetooth SD card because you have to remove the memory card to use it and most of my softwares are in the card. If you want to buy now get a pocket pc as the others have recommended. But if you really want a palm because of more softwares available just wait for the new models. The dragonball chip will become obsolete soon because new developers will opt to develop for the arm chip. |
