"How to" - load my W800i with music |

Can I please get a good "how to" on this. I have had problems when I drop songs in the mp3 directory and also the audio directory.
From my understanding I need to have the songs in folders: 1) artist -> 2) record -> 3) songs.
I almost blew a fuse yesterday when I used the disk2phone SW. When I had loaded the music without objections from the app and tried to browse _nothing_ of the new I had added was to be seen. Had to go and while on the subway I noticed the music I had added actually turned up in my headphones but the display showed other artists/records/song titles... The sound would clip quite often too.
Today I dropped a couple of records onto the mp3 directory without the D2P app. Took a good 20 minutes. Off to the city - and none of the new records showed up!!!
I need support before I throw this thing out the window... Please.

Im having simular issues also. I have a memory card reader on my pc so im just sticking the card in that instead of using the cable.
I don't use the disc2phone app at all. Most of the music i use is mp4 (m2a) audio files and the software doesn't support it.
I manually create folders in the mp3 folder. One for rock, another for dance, another for classic rock, etc.. After all transfered, i just create a playlist for each folder. I select the entire folder and add. Done.
You have to get the songs in the folders you mentioned if you want to be able to use the "artists" part of the player. It will still play without it.
It takes me 5-10 seconds per song to transfer usually on my card reader.
hope that helps..

Thanks guys! I will get a card reader to speed up the transfer but I would have wanted it to be "plug and transfer" straight to the phone though... |

Problem is probably solved. When in the store they said the memory stick is almost never the problem but the in-phone card reader. I did not want to leave the phone just today so I went home. To my surprise the memory stick could be pushed in a good few millimeters. Apparently it had come a bit loose when I had dropped the phone last week. After inserting it things seem to work. I need to load a lot and test but I think problem is solved.
Spooky thing though, I would have thought it would either work or not. |

You can use the DIsc to phone software supplied to transfer MP3 files from your system to the phone.
If you are using mp4 format then you will have to copy the songs in the sounds folder on the memory card. If you are using drag and drop then put the songs in the sounds folder on the memory card. Search for the cound folder.
It should work. After that remove the cable and create a playlist of the copied files in the sound folder. It should show up in the sounds section of the file manager.

Or you can use the iwalkman software to synchronize your walkman with Itunes.

I had to finally turn it in... Been in the shop for over two weeks now. Something must be wrong with the phone, memory card reader/writer or the card. I am guessing it's the reader/writer (or whatever it's called in english). Of course they said 5-10 days and 3 weeks at worst. This Sunday = 3 weeks... |
