Hey i have a K750i on orange contract.

Sortware version R1J002 is currently on it. What is the latest software available? What difference will it make to my phone?

Also my phone is orange branded with orange theme icons colour etc, will updating the software loose this look?

I noticed when checking the version of software that is on my phone there was a customisation section saying:

Customisation
CDA102338/ 12 R25A
cxc125953 R1J002
Orange_GEN

Help appreciated.

Cheers

Yes to the first question... It will make a diference since a few bugs have been ironed out however like is said (if aint broke dont try to fix it)

No is the second answer the Look wont be replaced unless u debrand the fone via totalmultiserver or Davinci team...... I dont like either...

the section you mention covers the software and locale of the fone as well as customization...

k?

@technologic

Dont bother trying to update the f/w on your phone since Orange have removed authorization from SEUS to update theire mobiles... [addsig]

Sure I'm sure

Like you implied before, the SEUS contract the networks have with SE is all encompasing - they support all phones on the service, or none.

And, I can tell the K750 and W800 apart

Right you are I did say that they add removed authorisation for all theire mobiles.... I really had a blond moment...

Should have said K570i's only wont be able to update... :embarrased:

This is due to the issues surrounding the update to R1N035 with a flasher issue that caused mayhem a while back.

Since the W800i f/w was released after all those issues had been resolved Orange users will be able to update if the phone is a w800i...

Elace K750i users have to wait a little longer

Updated my Orange branded K750i this morning to R1N and it seems to have worked fine.

Had some problems initially with com ports etc, but managed to sort it out.

Hopefully now my k750 will work fine with my HBH-610 headset
