james007bond Joined: Oct 10, 2005 Posts: 22 PM	Posted: 2005-10-14 16:52 Folks, I need help. I am trying to reinstall the k750 usb drivers on my windows 2000 laptop. When i plug the phone into my laptop, via the supplied usb cable, the "found new hardware wizard" detects my phone and tries to install the modem driver (wmc or something like that).When it asks for the location of the *.sys file, i point the wizard to the SE cd rom driver folder. It picks up the driver but then says there was an error in installing the driver. The same happens with the usb mass storage device driver. Anyone have any ideas how i can completely first remove all reminants and then do a new install? Perhaps a registry hack....? thx [ This Message was edited by: james007bond on 2005-10-14 15:54 ]

If you cant install a simple thing a registry hack is not recommended or needed... Download the following and unzip to a folder(s) on PC Sony-Ericsson PC suite 1.7.10 USB drivers K750_Update_Service_USB_driver Install the first reboot press c key on phone and plug in to USB cable.... For USB drivers point to the folder you unzip the drivers to For the USB flash point to the folder you unzip drivers to.... It should do it automatically without asking for the drivers path but if it does point to the folders you have alredy done and I suggested earlier.... james007bond Joined: Oct 10, 2005 Posts: 22 PM	Posted: 2005-10-14 20:23 Leviath, I did all that, 3, 4, maybe 5 times..... it's so bizzare. The blasted laptop just does not recognise the drivers! I tried the original install disk, the downloaded drivers from SE, everything. What i haven't done is to drop my aptop from a very high height and i'm coming close to doing tat. On another note, i have updated my phone using my desktop pc, but I use my laptop daily as my main work tool so not even being able to transfer pics, themes, games is really annoying me. I cannot even see the memory stick on the phone, it's wierd. there must be an easy way of clean removing all the drivers, perhaps a norton utility.....
